Purkle Information

Purkle is an online community, where you can earn Purkle Dollars by participating in a range of activities. Purkle Dollars can be earned by; giving your opinions and feedback via surveys. Collect your Purkle Dollars and redeem them from a range of Gift cards from your favourite brands including Coles, Woolworths, Priceline Pharmacy, Kmart, Target, Rebel Sports, Myer, charities and many more!

To become a member of the Purkle community, go to the Purkle website at www.purkle.com.au, simply fill in your registration details and agree to our terms and conditions.

There are no costs involved with joining or maintaining an account with Purkle. All you need is an email address to register and you will receive invitations to participate in surveys to earn Purkle dollars.

Membership of the Purkle community is open only to Australian residents, above 15 years of age.

By registering with Purkle, you are opting in to join our rewards community. You will receive invitations to participate in market research surveys from Purkle on behalf of our clients. Your opinions are important and go towards developing and improving products and services.

Market research surveys vary and have different requirements. There will be times where you will be invited and depending on your responses, you may complete a whole survey or only answer a couple of questions.

If you don't qualify you are taken out of the survey and you will only be credited the minimum amount into your account. If you do qualify, you will continue to answer questions. If you complete the survey you will be credited the maximum amount in your account. Once we fill the number of people requested by the client, they close the survey.

As a member of Purkle, you are rewarded with Purkle dollars for providing your honest opinions and answers on a range of topics such as demographic questions, your purchase habits and interests. You are required to spend the necessary time to read the questions in a survey, and take this process seriously. You may be asked some personal or sensitive questions. By choosing to complete the relevant survey, you consent to Purkle collecting and using any information you provide in your responses to that particular survey, strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You have the right not to complete the survey, if you do not wish Purkle or our client to collect and use any sensitive information about you. However you will forfeit the reward allocated for that survey.

All market research data collected does not personally identify you without your consent within the survey.

Please remember to keep your details up to date, especially your email address. Your profile information is used by Purkle in order to target surveys. It is very important that your user profile is current, as it will be difficult to qualify for surveys if it is not.

We encourage Purkle members to answer as many profile questions as possible as this will give you a better chance of receiving invitations. The more complete your profile, the better we are able to target invitations for surveys in line with your interest and client requirements. You are not required to complete all the profile questions. You can return any time to your Purkle account and update your profile.

Account & Login Questions

To change your email address you need to visit the Purkle website (www.purkle.com.au).

a. Once on the Purkle website;
b. Login to your Purkle account using your existing email address and password.
c. On the top panel, click on your name and select 'Edit My Details' from the drop down menu.
d. Answer the Profile Access Question correctly to proceed.
e. Enter your new email address and click on the ‘Submit’ button to save the changes.

To change your password you need to visit the Purkle website (www.purkle.com.au).

a. Once on the Purkle website;
b. Login to your Purkle account using your existing email address and password
c. On the top panel, click on your name and select 'Change My Password' from the drop down menu.
d. Enter your current password and the new password, followed by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button to save your changes.

If you have forgotten your password you need to visit the Purkle website (www.purkle.com.au).

a. Once on the Purkle website;
b. Click on the 'Login' menu tab on the top of the page
c. Under the 'Login' button click on the ‘Forgot Your Password’ link.
d. Enter the email address you used to register with Purkle and click on 'Submit'

There are a number of ways to unsubscribe from Purkle:

1) At the bottom of each Survey Invite email you will find a 'click here' link to unsubscribe, follow this link to remove yourself from the Purkle program.

2) You can also unsubscribe from the Purkle website www.purkle.com.au, you will need to log into your Purkle account. Once you are logged-in scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find the 'Unsubscribe' link at the footer of the page.

3) Once you are logged in, you can also unsubscribe through the top menu section. Click on your name and select 'Unsubscribe' from the drop down menu.

4) You can also contact Purkle customer service with your request at custserv@purkle.com.au.

As a member of Purkle, you are rewarded with Purkle dollars for providing your honest opinions and answers on a range of topics such as demographic questions, your purchase habits and interests. Purkle reserve the right to terminate your account accordance with the Purkle Terms and Conditions of Membership. In this case your account will be closed and all Purkle dollars will be forfeited.

Yes, you can merge your accounts.

On the Purkle page, click on ‘Contact’ at the bottom of the page to send us an email requesting this change. Please note that by combining two email addresses you will forfeit any Purkle Dollars accrued in the account with of lesser amount.

Please be advised that the decision to merge your accounts is at the discretion of Purkle as per our
Terms and Conditions of Membership which specify that you can only have one account with Purkle.

Profile Access questions are a new form of security to help verify your identity when changes need to be made to your account or password.

You'll be asked to answer your chosen Profile Access questions when you need to access:

  • "Edit My Profile"
  • "Change My Password"
  • Updating / Recovering Your Account through customer service.

Please note: Profile access questions can only be set once.

Profile Access questions can only be set once and they cannot be changed in the future.

Please ensure that the question and answer that you set is memorable to you but not obvious to others.

You will need to contact customer service for further instructions on how to recover your account and profile access questions.

Your mobile number will be used to send an SMS to help us verify your account:

  • When you join Purkle.
  • As a verification of any redemption requests.

Research Invitation Questions

An online survey is a data collection tool used to gather information about individuals. Surveys are commonly used by market research agencies or businesses to collect data from consumers regarding their service or product. A survey may focus on factual information about individuals, purchasing behaviour, service satisfaction or it might aim to collect the opinions of the survey takers.

A survey is an interview with a willing respondent. It is research where an interviewer interacts with respondents to obtain facts, opinions and attitudes. Online surveys are the same thing, except the interview (survey) is presented online which allows for instant capture of data (information).

The surveys we send are from third parties and as a member of the Rewards system you are under no obligation to respond to any of the invitations that we send to you. You are part of an aggregated sample of consumers who are invited to participate in surveys. The personal questions included in some surveys are for the third party to gather information for the product they are researching.

Surveys, focus group and telephone interviews sometime have restrictions, such as age or income, and they can be as restrictive as have you travelled interstate in the past 3 months. For instance, a client may request that those who travel interstate to take a survey, but then screen out everyone but those who travelled in the past 3 months. A number of questions are typically qualifiers and determine whether or not you can go ahead to complete the survey itself.

The only way to get more surveys is by keeping your profile current.

Our emails are sent in HTML format, which can be read by all email software programs, however some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have "spam" filters and may believe we are sending you unsolicited e-mails. You should speak with your provider and ask why you are not able to receive our invitations.

If your ISP is not being cooperative, we suggest you create an alternate e-mail account with one of the free e-mail services (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.) and then update your profile in the Purkle database. Also about 20% of our invites bounce back to us because our members' free email accounts are over quota (full). Please make sure your email account has enough space to accept our emails.

Focus groups are conducted to gather understanding on how or why people hold certain beliefs about a topic or program of interest.

A focus group could be defined as a group of interacting individuals having some common interest or characteristics, brought together by a moderator, who uses the group and it's interaction as a way to gain information about a specific or focused issue.

A focus group is typically 7-10 people who are unfamiliar with each other. These participants are selected because they have certain characteristics in common that relate to the topic of the focus group. The group discussion is conducted several times with similar types of participants to identify trends and patterns in perceptions. Careful and systematic analysis of the discussions provides clues and insights as to how a product, service, or opportunity is perceived by the group.

A focus group is a form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked about their perceptions, opinions, beliefs and attitudes towards a product, service, concept, advertisement, idea, or packaging. Questions are asked in an interactive group setting where participants are free to talk with other group members.

Focus groups are typically 7-10 people and are very profile specific. For members that fit the profile the client is looking for, we will send an email to them and ask if they would like to participate in the focus group. If you agree to attend the focus group you will need to provide your contact details for the client to contact you to arrange the location of the group. On completing the focus group interview you will be credited the maximum amount of Purkle Dollars, which will appear in your personal members account.

A telephone interview is conducted with a willing respondent. It is research in which an interviewer conducts the interview by asking questions over the telephone with respondents to obtain facts, opinions and attitudes. Telephone interviews are the same as surveys, except the interview (survey) is conducted over the telephone which allows for instant capture of data (information).

Purkle Dollars Questions

You accumulate Purkle Dollars when you participate in market research surveys.

The amount of Purkle Dollars you are paid varies depending on that particular survey. Every invitation you receive will specify the minimum and maximum amounts you can earn for responding and participating in that survey.

Purkle Dollars can be redeemed for Ticketek gift vouchers, and Purkle eGift cards in the denominations of $20, $30 and $50.

Ticketek Gift Voucher will be sent via email to your registered email address from confirmation@ticketek.com.au. Please add this address to your trusted list of emails, so that your gift voucher is delivered to your inbox and not your junk mail folder.

IMPORTANT: Please remember to add samd@purkle.com to your safe list to ensure that our emails are not filtered into your junk folder.

The approximate time from redemption to receipt of the requested voucher is 7-14 days.

Once the survey is completed you are credited immediately unless you have either completed a diary survey, focus group or telephone interview. Diary surveys can take up to 7 working days after the survey expires for the reward to be credited to your Purkle account. The number of days may vary and will be mentioned on the survey email invitation. Focus groups and telephone interviews can take up to 15 working days depending on the length of these studies or unless stated in the email invitation. We may also need to wait for the client to give us a list of all the members who have completed the focus group or telephone interview, before we can credit your account.

Once an online survey is completed you are credited immediately, however if you participated in a diary survey, focus group or telephone interview the credit could take up to 15 working days depending on the length of these studies or unless stated in the email invitation.

If you still have not been credited it is more than likely due to the following reasons that were listed in the Terms of Agreement you "agreed" to when registering with Purkle:
a. Registering with Purkle by giving us false or misleading information
b. Changing your profile and giving false or misleading information
c. Creating multiple Purkle accounts
d. Taking the same survey more than once
e. Taking a survey, not qualifying, then taking the same survey again with knowledge of how to get through the qualifying     process
f. Telling another member how to get through the survey qualifying process
g. Intentionally giving faulty responses on a survey
h. Completing a survey so quickly that you would not have been physically able to read the questions
i. Posting details of offers from Purkle and clients links to surveys anywhere on the Internet
j. If we request as specific the Member profile in our email invite and you do not fit that profile, but attempt to take the    survey anyway.
k. Registering or changing user profile with usernames or email addresses that Purkle deems indecent
l. Unable to answer profile verification questions

Purkle will not exchange, extend or re-issue vouchers that have past their expiration or validity date. Members are encouraged to take note of expiration/validity dates and ensure that vouchers are redeemed before this period.

Ticketek Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 years and are redeemable only for tickets purchased from listed Ticketek Agencies. You can redeem your Ticketek Gift Voucher online through ticketek.com.au, through Ticketek's mobile site and mobile apps, or over the phone through the Ticketek Call Centre. Ticketek Gift Vouchers can also be redeemed in person at a Ticketek Agency or participating Westfield Concierge Desk. The Purkle eGift Card gives you access to a range of eVouchers from your most loved brands, including Coles, Woolworths, Priceline Pharmacy, Kmart, Target, Rebel Sports, Myer, Supercheap Auto, Good Food, Jetstar, Harvey Norman, charities and many more!

The Purkle eGift Card is simple, flexible and easy to use. To redeem for a Purkle eGift card:

  1. Select your denomination $20, $30 or $50.
  2. Choose the quantity and click "Redeem Now". You will be required to validate your request using an OTP verification code which we will send to your registered mobile number. Once verified, your redemption will be confirmed.
  3. You'll receive an email with your Purkle eGift card from noreply@giftpay.com within 5-7 business days.
  4. Open the email and select "Open your eGift Card".
  5. Choose from the selection of retailers. Multiple retailers can be selected up to the total value of the Purkle eGift card.
  6. Follow the prompts to activate and use your gift card.

The mobile verification system in place when redeeming your Purkle dollars helps us validate your redemption request and protects your account from any un-authorised activity.

From 1 July 2018, the following brands will only be available through the Purkle eGift Card in $20, $30 or $50:

  • Woolworths
  • Xbox Live (only available in $30 eVouchers)

General FAQ's

Login to your Purkle account. On the top panel, click on your name and select 'Refer a Friend' from the drop down menu.You will be taken to a page containing a unique URL. You can forward this URL to your friends to invite them to join.
